Working Moms

This is a quick shout-out to all the working moms out there. So I recently got a big job promotion and you think I would be really excited, but I'm not. It means I have to work 30 hours a week instead of 24 and 3 days a week instead of two. That to me just means more time away from Tyson. I don't know if its my own guilt or what, but I'm really depressed about it even though I know its whats best for our family. So this is to all the working moms who's family, friends or church make them fell guilty for working. You guys rock! I know most of you are better moms because of it, so good luck and remember there are other moms out there who know exactly how you feel!

Hey Camille. I'm sorry that you now have to spend more time away from Tyson. You are such a great mom though. He absolutely loves you and always remembers everything you teach him. You definitely make up for the time you can't be there. Don't feel guilty for working. You have to until Mark finishes Pharmacy school. You're doing great balancing your life. Tyson loves you.

Amen to the working moms! I know it's hard- I have the same internal battle that you do- but i think it makes us much more well balanced- and it's good for the kids to be with other people too. So what's your promotion?? Congratulations! - Amber

Woo Hoo! Remember this summer when we had this conversation? I'm sorry you have to work more. Let me know if you need help with Tyson. I'm sure Jayben would love to have a friend over. You are an awesome mom.

AGREED SISTER!!!!!!!!!!! I have been fighting this battle for YEARS and have many years ahead to keep it up. I love those stay at home Moms that say, "you don't just GET to stay home, you have to make it happen...." Apparently their husbands don't work for the State of Utah! You rock at everything you do! I think the Lord gives up this challenge because we are up to it.

Congrats on the promotion! Don't let them get to you, you know what's best for your family! Like you said, some of us are better moms when we work. Besides, you are supporting your family, you have to do what's best for them. The Lord knows your heart, don't let anyone make you feel less. You are an amaing woman, I should know! Tyson and Mark love you and so do we. These are the things that matter. Just do the best you can. Your are so not alone in feeling this way. Wait till Tyson's in school and they ask you to help in the class, then they roll their eyes cause you say you have to work! Lame.
